About Shivashtie Poonwassie

Shivashtie Poonwassie explores the boundary between the inner self and the outer world. Shivashtie mainly focuses on the head and figure as vehicles for exploring issues surrounding uniqueness and individuality; from the private reality that exists within each of us to the public face on show. Shivashtie combines her interest of the individual with her passion for material, texture and surface; her sculptures reflect her ambitious and experimental nature.
